Diamond: Antibody Diluent
Antibody/antigen binding is characterized by weak interactions such as electrostatic, hydrophobic, and van der Waals forces. These interactions are susceptible to dramatic changes in pH which could adversely affect the results of the assay. It is necessary to use a diluent that not only resists changes to pH, but also provides a media for the stability of the antibody as well as the preservation of its native structure and function.1,2 Diamond: Antibody Diluent is designed for this purpose as well as to mitigate any non-specific reactions.
Diamond: Antibody Diluent contains Tris buffer, pH 7.3-7.7, with 1% BSA and <0.1% sodium azide.
