GATA3 (L50-823) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Specialties: Anatomic Pathology Breast/Gynecological Pathology Genitourinary (GU) Pathology
Detection of GATA 3 by immunohistochemistry (IHC) with GATA3 (L50-823) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody may be used to aid in the diagnosis of breast and urothelial carcinomas.
GATA3, or GATA binding protein 3, belongs to the GATA family of tissue specific transcription factors, which play an important role in cell proliferation, development, and differentiation. GATA3 is involved in the differentiation of several tissue types including breast, kidney, and bladder urothelium.1-4 GATA3 expression is seen normally in breast tissue, renal distal tubules, and bladder urothelium.2 GATA3 expression is also found in breast carcinomas and urothelial carcinomas.1-2 Immunohistochemistry for GATA3 shows a nuclear pattern of staining.
