Forkhead box A1 (FOXA1), also known as hepatocyte nuclear factor 3 alpha (HNF3a), is a transcription factor associated with embryonic development of multiple endoderm-derived organ systems. Anti-FOXA1 reactivity is seen in certain carcinomas of the breast, normal breast ductal epithelium, and epithelium in various organs. The Anti-FOXA1 immunohistochemical reagent is useful for sub-classification of breast carcinoma.1
