Anti-CD30 antibody detects a formalin-resistant epitope that is expressed by Reed-Sternberg cells in Hodgkin's disease, the majority of anaplastic large cell lymphomas, and in embryonal carcinomas and seminomas. A small percentage of follicular lymphomas also stain with this antibody. This antibody also stains plasma cells in paraffin-embedded tissue.
