1994 Cell Marque was established in Austin, Texas. Nora Lacey, founder and president, envisioned a company where she could sell and manufacture quality IHC antibodies. Her vision for the company was centered around the customer experience, focusing on their needs and the needs of their labs. In September, Cell Marque opened its doors to reveal passion, quality, and dedication to serve its customers and their patients.
1997 Cell Marque partners with Ventana Medical System (now a member of the Roche Group), the market leader in autostainer platforms, to manufacture and supply Ventana's IHC antibodies in dispensers.
1998 Cell Marque invented Trilogy, a three in one pretreatment reagent. Trilogy is a revolutionary product that deparaffinizes, rehydrates, and unmasks all in one easy step! Patented in 1998, Trilogy opened the opportunity to labs to standardize their pretreatment process cutting almost 45 minutes out of the pretreatment process time. Also, Cell Marque set its sights on expanding its audience to the international market. Cell Marque's first international distributor was Italy.
2001 Cell Marque relocated to Hot Springs, Arkansas. With Cell Marque's continual growth, Hot Springs enabled Cell Marque to expand into a larger facility. With the larger facility, we were able to grow our portfolio, both in direct and Ventana products.
2002 Cell Marque patented its second invention on a staining automation methodology.
2003 Cell Marque achieved ISO 13485:2003 certification. Our quality system met the requirements set by the International Organization for Standardization. Once gaining ISO 13485 status, Cell Marque began CE marking products that were bound to Europe.
2005 Cell Marque and Ventana Medical System agree to expand Ventana's dispenser inventory by 50%. Cell Marque's partnership with Ventana gave us the opportunity to manufacture and sell their best selling antibodies.
2006 After five years in Hot Springs, Cell Marque relocates to Rocklin, California. California is the Mecca of biotechnology; moving the company opened many doors for Cell Marque to expand into new territory.
2007 Cell Marque and Ventana celebrated their 10 year partnership.
2008 Cell Marque expanded its portfolio by introducing over 50 new and innovative antibodies. Cell Marque grew its sales force making it possible to reach more customers both at their labs and tradeshows. This also marked Cell Marque's first international distributors meeting which was held in Athens, Greece corresponding with the International Academy of Pathology meeting being held. Also, Cell Marque began incorporating the science of LEAN Enterprise. The objective of LEAN is to eliminate waste and work efficiently to better serve our customers.
2009 Cell Marque launched its much anticipated Volume 9 Reference Guide. Our innovative catalog which includes new features like diagnostic panels became an instant "must have" in the industry.
